Anneka Heslop

Director

I am the Director of Mulberry Bush Day Nursery and an experienced Early Years Professional, having worked in the childcare and education sector since the age of 18. I hold a BA (Hons) in Educational Studies with Early Childhood Studies, alongside an Early Years Professional Status (EYPS) certificate.
I am passionate about providing high-quality, child-centred care and creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment where children feel confident to express themselves. My aim is to ensure every child feels valued, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential during their early years.

Supporting Children with Special Educational Needs

We are committed to providing an inclusive environment and welcome children with additional needs or disabilities. Admission will take place when we are confident we can meet the child’s individual needs and ensure their wellbeing whilst maintaining a safe and supportive environment for all.

When a child with special educational needs joins the Nursery, the SENCO and key person work closely with parents, relevant professionals, and other settings (where applicable).

Strong partnership between parents, nursery staff, and any supporting professionals is central to providing the best possible care. This collaboration allows us to identify each child’s needs and provide appropriate learning opportunities.

Individual care and learning plans are developed where required to ensure every child can thrive.

Choosing the best nursery for your child

We understand how difficult it can feel to choose the perfect nursery for your child. It is so important you feel completely happy and comfortable leaving your child in the care of others, knowing your little one is happy, settled and looked after to the highest standards. It can be an emotional decision for parents, which is why we make it as easy as possible.

We ensure our wonderful setting feels like a ‘home from home’ by accommodating the needs of our families to make the transition into nursery an easy one for all of you.

Busy children are happy children

Our goal is to ensure your child receives outstanding early education and develops in all areas of life - socially, vocally, physically and mentally.

We know that the most effective way to achieve this is to ensure your child is happy.

For children to be happy they need to be busy and to be busy they need to be engaged with their environment. This ethos is evident in every room throughout the nursery.
